Materials

This staff development workshop is designed so that very few materials or set-up are needed.  For the initial introduction, the facilitator needs to have some type of presentation device connected to a computer.  Preferably, this device would be a projector, but a television would do in a pinch with a small group.

After the instructions have been given in the introduction, teachers will be asked to go to other locations by department or content area.  The room which they go to needs to have at least one computer for every two teachers.  These computers must have internet access. Individual faculty participants may wish to bring paper and a writing utensil for taking notes.  However, the website www.readingacrosscurriculum.com, with all instructional items, including the rationale and strategies for each department, will be accessible at all times.
